MMO Crossovers (Dream log #2)

I had a nice, long sleep last night so that gave a lot of room for dreaming. There's a lot more to this one than my previous entry and I've been dying to write about something with a little more meat to it.

As usual, I can't seem to remember how it starts out, but sometime during the sequence, I'm getting a first-person view at some sort of battlefield. At least that's what it appears to be, I later realize that it's closer to a map or level. In any case, it seems to be some sort of island with high cliff faces and raging waves that crash up against them. The most distinct feature I recall is that the ground is a faint purple color and has a decent amount of dents and crater-like holes in the surface.

Not a moment later, my "team" - mostly consisting of champions from LoL - takes a boat ride to the shore. We spread out, scout around a bit and for a little while there doesn't seem to be much going on. At this point I notice several steel structures that look to be built into the land, though I don't remember if we went inside at all. The view then switches to a near aerial angle and I'm shown that we have some kind of elevator on our side of the island with a red flag planted at the bottom. Between this point and when I wake up, I only remember a few snippets, such as the other team finally coming out of one of the buildings and being thrown into the water by a knock-back. Of course, I respawned a few seconds later and each team took turns dominating the other in team fights.

I tend to dream about video games a decent amount, and it's starting to make me think I should go outside a little more. Have any of you ever dreamed about silly things like what game you played that day? Let me know in the comments below!

Strange Journals (Dream log #1)

I didn't get a whole lot of sleep last night, but what little bits I remember of this one are pretty interesting. The earliest thing I can recall is me and a friend of mine sitting across from each other in bean-bag chairs. We were both holding a notebook and at first I could see what they had written in them, but a couple minutes later I got a better look and noticed that whatever was recorded on the pages seemed to happen. Nothing extreme occurred, mostly simple things such as "so and so says" or "so and so sits a certain way".

It didn't make too much sense, and once I figured out that I was dreaming I kind of asked myself why we weren't just using our words to communicated. Y'know, since we were sitting right next to each other. The rest of it is a little blurry, but I do remember towards the end we went into this building that only had one room, and in the center was a GIANT treadmill. Naturally, we both hopped onto it and started jogging away. I probably should have started writing about it as soon as I woke up. Oh well, notes for future entries, I suppose.  Hopefully I get a chance to write about more interesting things, but for now this is all I've got.

Unconscious Ramblings

So, blogs. Interesting things. People write down their thoughts, plans, and details about their lives and more people read said postings. Pretty simple concept. I've had this idea for a while, and I'm kind of kicking myself for not starting earlier.

The thing is, I dream a lot. I like recording and reading them later. However, due to some unforeseen circumstances, all of my journals have been destroyed. Gotta love living in a part of the country that's prone to flooding, eh? Anyway, I figured it couldn't hurt to start from scratch, although on a different medium. I've been told by friends that what I share about my dreams is interesting, and maybe anyone who reads this would think the same thing.

As exciting as this is, it might take a little longer than I'd like to get it rolling. Unlike other things in life, they're a little harder to control. In fact, I've been looking into lucid dreaming so that I may be able to have more influence on them than I do currently. At this point, the only "control" I have is when I figure out I'm dreaming, most of the time I can force myself to wake up. I might do some more posts about that in the future, but for now this will just be an introduction along with a general recording of dreams I remember.
